Winter Is Coming…and as the temperatures drop Canadians start looking for ways to keep fit. Why not take your fitness routine to an indoor pool? Following is our list of Ottawa’s best indoor pools. Whether it’s a Saturday with kids, or a place for you to get some laps done, these indoor pools will provide a great option for exercise this Winter.

1). Bob MacQuarrie Recreation Complex-Orléans

This multipurpose facility provides users with a wide selection of services and amenities including a six-lane pool, diving boards and therapeutic pool. The center also offers aqua fitness and swimming lessons for all ages

2). Brewer Pool
1131 Wellington St W, Ottawa, ON K1Y 2Y6, Canada

Brewer Pool boasts of a 25 metre, six lane pool with a one metre diving board and sauna.  There is a small lounge with kitchen amenities available for rent.

3). Canterbury Recreation Complex
2185 Arch St, Ottawa, ON K1G 2H5, Canada

The Canterbury Recreation Complex is the ideal place to meet your recreational needs. The facility boasts a 25 metre five lane swimming pool with sauna, an NHL sized ice rink and the Canterbury Community Centre. Our pool offers a wide selection of aquatic programs including public swims, aquafitness and swimming lessons.

4). Champagne Fitness Centre
321 King Edward Ave, Ottawa, ON K1N 7M5, Canada

The Champagne Fitness Centre is situated in a historic downtown building just a stone’s throw away from the ByWard Market. The facility houses a 22.86 metre (25 yards) four lane pool. A large tile mural, Bathing in Champagne, is featured in the pool area.

5). François Dupuis Recreation Centre

François Dupuis Recreation Centre is a one stop shop for all your fitness needs. The center has two beautiful pools: a 25-metre 6 lane pool and a leisure pool, both with ramp entry for easy access plus a dry sauna. Jennifer Stead’s artwork, Water, runs along the pool viewing area.

6). Jack Purcell Community Centre
320 Jack Purcell Ln, Ottawa, ON K2P 2J5, Canada

The Jack Purcell Community Centre is owned and operated by the City of Ottawa and delivers programming to adults and children with special needs, as well as programs for seniors . The centre has an 18-meter warm-water pool, which offers regular aquatic programming  and programs for individuals with special needs.

7). Lowertown Pool
40 Cobourg St, Ottawa, ON K1N 5N8, Canada

This facility is conveniently located in a downtown location with ample free parking for clients. Lowertown Pool has five-lanes typically set-up with two average lanes and two wider lanes. It also has a sauna and clean, spacious change rooms. During leisure and family swims, clients can also use the Tarzan rope and diving board.
